After a long layoff the U 9’s are back into their stride with an excellent win in a high speed, hard fought game which was a credit to the skills of both sides.

Owen Litherland set THC on their way with the first big hit in the first set and our defence was on top form from the start. Owen received The Special Award for an excellent all round performance.

Jake Kinrade showed what a good signing he is and again he figured on the score sheet with 2 well taken tries and also taking the Parents award.

Kurtis Asson Smith gets more powerful by the week and thoroughly deserved the Man of The Match award for his work rate and 2 Tries.

Josh Simm won the Coaches Award not just for his 3 tries but also an excellent defensive stint.

The score sheet wouldn’t be complete without Lee Howard’s name on it and again Lee bamboozled everyone on his way to scoring his Try.

What can you say about Joe “Rhino“ Rowland? His non stop no nonsense play is a joy to watch and along with Owen was so close to scoring their first tries for the team. Joe picked up the Most Improved Award.

This was a great TEAM effort led today by Capt Jack Dixon. Everyone did their bit and I am sure made everyone of us watching very proud to be associated with this team

Well done to each and every one of you

Burtonwood at home next week.

Can’t wait!!!!!!
