Milnrow 6 - Thatto Heath Crusaders U9's 8
Another early start to head East to Milnrow, as we set off for the third away game on the trot.
Even the Sat Nav gave up the will to live at one point.
Once again the under 9’s came out on top after an open game of Rugby League against a determined Cobras outfit.
Jarrod O’Connor was Captain of the day and after a great all round performance won The Coaches Award. Rumours that Widnes Vikings now have a new set of Trophies are not true.
Good to see Joe back (and he came SO close to scoring today) and was a good choice as Most Improved.
The special Award went to Adam for again turning in a hard working stint and getting very close to scoring his first try.
Jack Dixon must have had 3 Weetabix for breakfast today as he was again leading from the front and taking The Cobras on, head on. He was awarded The Parents Man of The Match.
Jake Kinrade was again on the score sheet with a well taken try and was rewarded with The Man of The Match for a solid all round game.
Excellent work by Ryan Penny got him on the score sheet with a well taken try.
No report would be complete without Josh Simms name and again he topped the scoring charts with 6 blistering tries despite sounding like he had smoked 20 woodbines before kick off.
Half time score was 3 – 5 and final score 6 – 8
The under 9’s march on but they should not be complacent and work needs to be done on our defence before we face St Judes at HOME next week
Anyone wanting directions to Close Street please let us know. It has been a long time since we played there.
Well done to all the team.
We apologies to anyone who bought shares in Miami Kebabs for their drop in value this week. Connor has gone off them !!!!!!!!!!!
