After last week’s immense performance the NCL side travel away to Egremont Rangers in this week’s fixture.
Sitting in 8th position Egremont are one of several clubs involved at the bottom end of the table, yet look relatively safe compared to those around them.
However, Egremont can surprise the teams higher up in the league beating both Myton and West Hull convincingly as part of a current three game winning streak.
Loose-Forward John Paul Brocklebank is the sides’ current leading try scorer and with Matthew Bewsher’s impressive record with the boot, Egremont can be a force to be reckoned with.
As for Thatto Heath, the side will still be riding on the wave from last week’s win against top of the league Siddal. An impressive defensive effort reduced the League’s top scorers to just 6 points.
The win meant Thatto closed the gap on Siddal to just three points, yet the hard work isn’t finished with Rochdale Mayfield just two points behind every win is vital.
Thatto are now on their own three game winning streak, having overcome their midseason troubles, however, their weakness this year has been on the road.
Can the lads turn around their away form and continue the charge to the playoffs?
