This week the NCL side take on Siddal at home, a game that needs no introduction to all those interested. A top of the table clash, a chance for Thatto to close the gap, it’s a fixture everyone will have their eyes on.

The two sides have met once before in the league Siddal coming out with a 34-6 victory, however, this time round Thatto have the home advantage and will be looking to make it count.

Siddal are coming off the back of four game winning streak in which they have boasted some quality attacking skills to rack up the scoreboard. Their last defeat was at the hands of West Hull.

A narrow 16-4 defeat, although this will give the Thatto players a boost of confidence after last week’s 24-20 win over West Hull, ending their struggles on the road.

Thatto showed signs of getting back to their best against Skirlaugh at home, and adding a tough away victory may just be what’s needed to give the lead leaders something to worry about.

Siddal currently sit four points clear at the top of the NCL, so the chance to cut that lead in half is massive for the side.

A victory is also imperative as to keeping their second place spot, as Wath Brow Hornets breath down Thatto’s neck.

Just one point separates the sides and with Wath Brow taking on fourth place Rochdale Mayfield it could be a huge weekend in the NCL.

The race for the playoffs is well and truly heating up, be sure to get down to crusader park for a 2:30pm KO and cheer on the lads!
