I would just like to introduce myself I am Tony Axon and my role is the My Guide Volunteer Manager for Merseyside and Cheshire here at Guide Dogs my role involves recruiting volunteers to be Sighted Guides for people with visual impairment and we urgently need volunteers in St Helens.
In the UK, almost two million people are living with sight loss and around 180,000 rarely leave their home alone. The volunteer is there to enable the person with a visual impairment to get out and about and do the things that they want to do.
All training is provided to be a My Guide and was hoping you could spread the word. Thank you for your time and if you feel this is something you could help with please contact me and I can chat to you about it.
