Thatto Heath Crusaders A’ extended their unbeaten start to their Nwml Premier Division campaign with a comprehensive 52-10 win over Haresfinch. Good approach work from Lee Ryan enabled Nathan Ashurst to dive over from dummy half for the opening score, which Shaun Quinn converted. Leon Tatlock then won the chase to Tom Rigby’s grubber kick, before Aaron Dancer’s flick pass sent Charlie Taylor racing away to score, the latter converted by Quinn. Finch hit back with a try of their own, before Leon Tatlock added another for Heath before the break, which Quinn duly converted, and it was 22-4 at the break to the Crusaders.
Heath were out of the traps early in the 2nd half, when good hands from Dave Hull allowed Jake Foster to dive in at the corner. Taylor added his 2nd of the match when the impressive Dancer got him into space on the right edge. Tom Rigby then sent Leon Tatlock through a huge gap in the Finch defence for the second rowers hat trick. Tatlock then turned provider when following a barnstorming run down the right touchline, offloaded for Dancer to race in, which Quinn duly converted. Heath rounded off their scoring when Taylor’s banana kick found Quinn. Bradshaw then touched down for a well deserved try, which Quinn converted to round off Heath’s scoring. Finch ran in a consolation try, but Heath had won comfortably 52-10. Man of the match for Heath went to Leon Tatlock.
